Possible Buried Beliefs

  • I am bad.
  • If they knew the real me, they'd leave.
  • I deserve to be punished.
  • I'm not lovable as I am.

Healing Notes

Shame is one of the most corrosive emotional states. Unlike guilt, which says "I did something wrong," shame says "I am wrong." GNM and trauma research suggest shame can reinforce survival strategies, isolation, and somatic defenses. Spiritually, shame hides us from grace, while healing begins through truth and unconditional love. Karol Truman describes shame as a lie we agreed to believe.
