Healing Notes
Depression is not necessarily a flaw or disorder; it can be a purposeful physiological and emotional slowing. It creates space for processing major unresolved stress, loss of identity or status, and deep emotional pain. In GNM, depression may reflect multiple conflict shocks or emotional adaptations to survival threats. Louise Hay links depression to anger one feels they have no right to express and to a loss of meaning or direction.
