Buried Feeling
Numb, resentful, tired, unsafe, disconnected, pressured.
Buried Belief
- “My desire is gone because something is wrong with me.”
- “It is safer not to want.”
- “If I desire, I become vulnerable.”
- “My body has shut down for a reason.”
- “Pressure kills my desire.”
- “I cannot want someone I do not trust.”
Hard-to-Go Place
Listening to numbness as information instead of attacking the body, blaming the partner, or forcing desire. Low desire may provide distance, protection, protest, shutdown, rest, or avoidance of unresolved resentment.
Next Step
Ask, "What would my body say if my lack of desire had a message?"
