Healing Notes

Hearing disturbances may reflect emotional overload or resistance to painful information. GNM associates them with auditory shock or conflict experiences. Symbolically, they can represent difficulty receiving truth or guidance. From the 2023 Emotion Link Reference Guide — possible emotional associations: the middle ear is linked with not wanting to hear conflict, and adult hearing loss with not wanting to hear. Viral earache is linked with not wanting to hear surrounding conflict. Possible purpose or secondary gain: 'I don't have to listen to what angers or frightens me.'

It moves when given time, witness, and tears. Suppressed, it settles into the body as heaviness or fatigue.

It loosens with one trusted contact at a time, in doses small enough to stay regulated.
