Healing Notes

Gambling weaves fantasy, adrenaline, and hope of rescue into a loop that keeps the nervous system alive. Underneath it often lives a deep sense of stuckness, financial or emotional, and a longing to be delivered from an ordinary life that has stopped feeling survivable.

Shame loosens in the presence of being seen and not rejected. Naming it out loud is often the first crack of light.

It moves when given time, witness, and tears. Suppressed, it settles into the body as heaviness or fatigue.

Hard to Go Places

The places the body has been avoiding — the feelings, truths, or moments it has been organised to keep at a distance.

  • Gambling

    Facing the ordinary reality the fantasy has been protecting you from, and grieving the rescue that isn't coming.

  • Shame

    Allowing yourself to be witnessed in the parts you've spent a lifetime hiding.

  • Grief

    Letting it actually be felt.
